The Austin City Limits Music Festival kicked off on Friday Oct. 4. With 130 bands performing during the three day weekend, nearly 75,000 people attended the festival.

Among the many bands that played, Passion Pit was one to remember. The American indie pop band, first began in 2007 releasing their first album "Chunk of Change." Then in 2009, they released their second album "Manners," which included hits like, "Make Light"and "Swimming in the Flood." Finally, in 2012 their third album "Gossamer," was debuted.

On Sat., the band performed their many hit singles like, "Carried Away." In their music video, they feature actress Sophia Bush, playing the part of lead singer, Michael Angelakos significant other. The video symbolizes a couple trying to make their relationship work.

During the concert, thousands of people gathered to watch them perform. Many of them sang along to their songs. After they performed "Carried Away," the band hit it off with another hit single "Take a Walk," which is featured in many television commercials, like Taco Bell. The song was also included in their third album, and was written by their very own lead singer, Michael Angelakos. During their performance, Austin residents, agreed to have people crowd surf throughout the performance. Literally, the best crowd ever. The weather was nice and breezy. You could smell the food stands from miles away. The stage was across from the view of the city and it managed to block the sun from hitting directly to the crowd, making it easier for fans to see the band.

Other hits included "Sleepyhead," from their first record and closed off their one hour show with "Little Secrets."
