Paul McCartney surprised tourists around Times Square on Thursday where he held a short 15-minute concert.
According to E! News, The former Beatle and his band showed up at Times Square and played on the back of a trailer truck.
McCartney only played four songs and only off his upcoming album New. Two of the songs were "Everybody Out There" and "Save Us."
He tweeted only about an hour before playing what was about to happen saying, "Wow! Really excited to be paying New York Times Square at 1pm this afternoon!"
According to The Mirror, McCartney joked after playing the short concert saying, "Mr. Andy Warhol predicted I'd get 15 minutes of fame, this is it."
The day before, the singer surprised the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Queens when he showed up to play and talk about life.
As he broke into "Eight Days A Week," McCartney joked, "This beats going to class. I know. It's supposed to be like going to class."
After playing 13 songs, he was asked questions and one was about fame. He replied, "The thing that fame does is give you freedom."
