When Selena Gomez lost her balance and slipped during her live concert performance, she slipped up far more than she thought. During her fall, the 21 year old singer didn’t seem to miss a beat getting right back into performance mode. Besides the fall, perhaps the most notable part of Gomez’s performance was that the audio from the track “Slow Down” was still playing in the background during her little tumble.
The obvious use of lip synching caused the internet world to go into a frenzy questioning Gomez’s singing ability. As soon as her performance went viral onYouTube, haters quickly pounced on the opportunity to rip Gomez’s singing career to shreds. While some fans stood in the singers’ defense.
“What do people expect? She can't sing a note. Only signed because she’s pretty,” commentedAlly G.
“So... she can't sing and she can't apparently dance on a low choreography either. Why is she still famous?!” statedTheS3nnar. Ouch!!
“I was at that concert she was so good,” insistedAbigail Sanchez.
It’s pretty clear to see that Gomez was lip synching, fan or not. Her vocal performance was far too perfect for a performer who’s dancing and constantly moving their body on stage.
Gomez has yet to comment on the her slip-up and lip-synching scandal , but one thing’s for sure she wasn’t the first singer to ever lip-synch, and she definitely won’t be the last!
