Actor Stephen Baldwin is being sued by Hachette Book Group Inc., for not following through with a book deal.
Baldwin received a cash advance of $110,000 after making a publishing agreement in March 2007 with the publishing group, The Wrap reports. The book was scheduled to be released Jan. 2008, and was later pushed to April 2010.
The book was a part of a two part series. The first book is entitled The Death and Life of Gabriel Phillips. The second book, The New York Daily News reports, was supposed to be about "what it means to live everyday as a sold out, hardcore, nothing held back Jesus freak."
According to the 2007 contract, "Included in this confrontational, passionate, and yet loving book, are the author's thoughts on the mission to which all Christians are called, how to prepare for it and some of the strategies for getting it done."
The publishing company is asking for the $110,000 back, as well as interest, attorney fees and costs.
