Stevie Wonder is planning to release two albums next year, and is currently working on a third.
According to The Associated Press, Wonder's next two albums, When the World Began and Ten Billion Hearts, are scheduled to release next year, eight years after his last album.
His music was inspired by his "children, family, change, growth, heartbreaks," as well as certain hip-hop elements, Wonder said in an Interview.
"I listen a lot to rap, and I'm inspired to take it, to use it in another way, to get the message across," Wonder said.
As a promise made to his mother, who passed in 2006, Wonder is working on a gospel album in her memory.
"I might sing a gospel song in Arabic or do something in Hebrew. I want to mix it up and do it differently than one might imagine," Wonder said.
Rolling Stone reports that Wonder will perform his most popular album, Songs in the Key of Life released in 1976, at his House Full of Toys benefit concert.
The charity helps children in need during the holiday season, and the concert will take place in Los Angeles on Dec. 21.
