A stuntman was injured on the set of Fury after being stabbed with a bayonet.
The 35-year-old was stabbed by a nine-inch blade in the shoulder, The Telegraph is reporting. Police summoned to the scene are not calling it a crime, but are having Health and Safety Executive investigate the matter.
"The matter has been left with HSE at this stage," a spokesperson for the Thames Valley Police said.
Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf did not witness the stabbing, but were on set at the time. The stuntman is in stable condition after being airlifted to Oxford's John Radcliffe Hospital.
According to the Daily Mail, a Sony Pictures spokesperson said, "The incident involved two professional stuntmen filming a rehearsed action sequence. Unfortunately there was an accident."
The Telegraph notes the spokesperson added, "He was injured by a bayonet and has been taken to a hospital where we are checking in for information and progress."
The nearby village of Shirburn has been dealing with the loud noises coming off the set. One local, Sue Ford, said, "I've heard gunfire which is quite startling. Very frightening. the tanks are incredibly noisy."
Kim Emerson seemed less disturbed by the noise, "There's always something going on whether its Midsomers... Sherlock Holmes... so we're kind of getting pretty used to it now."
Fury is scheduled for a November 2014 release date.
