After the success of the first season of Telltale Games' The Walking Dead, the developer has officially announced that there will be a season two.
The second season of the interactive video game will be released later in 2013, USA Today reports. The first game was a success for Telltale as it sold 21 million season one episodes.
Walking Dead's second season will continue the adventures of Clementine, who is a young girl that appeared in the first game. The second game picks up with Clementine on her own doing her best to survive.
The game is sold like a season of five episodes, with each episode costing $5 on PC and Mac. There is also a season pass available for purchase at the slightly reduced price of $22.49. The game will see a release later on the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Apple iOS.
According to Cinema Blend, decisions from the first season and the follow up game 400 Days, will affect the storyline for season two.
"The terrifying nature of Robert Kirkman's world has allowed Telltale to push the boundaries of interactive drama in video games to a place that has had fans anxious to know what will happen next in this series," Dan Connors, co-founder and CEO of Telltale Games, said.
"Today we can finally life the veil, albeit only a little, on how this story will continue, and we'll be putting players in the shoes of a lead role that will challenge their expectations of how to survive in a world where no one can be trusted."
