The first trailer for the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past looks to force Wolverine into navigating the past to save their future.
The first trailer starts off fairly low-key, but focuses on fan-favorite Wolverine, as he prepares to journey into the past, Los Angeles Times reports. Then things are shown quickly getting out of hand.
The trailer shows both young and old versions of Magneto and Professor Xavier. The older versions have banded together to send Wolverine into the past to confront their younger selves to help prevent an event that threatens present day.
The trailer also quickly shows many of the well-known mutants from the various movies, as well as some new faces for this movie. Entertainment Weekly notes that Bishop, and possibly Blink, make their debuts in the trailer for the film.
The first trailer dropped a week after a brief amount of footage was posted on the official Instagram for the movie.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is out in theaters May 23, 2014.
