It has been 25 years since the premiere of Beetlejuice, but that hasn't stopped fans from demanding part two. Now, word from Hollywood is that Tim Burton is ready to direct the second installment.

According to Rolling Stone, the film is finally going to happen and Tim Burton is, in fact, in negotiations to direct. Burton has had much success directing a lot films since Beetlejuice, and he is said to have wanted to be involved in a sequel to the film for a long time. Beetlejuice, for those who do not know, is a film about a family that moves into a house that is haunted by its’ former residents. The ghosts then try to get rid of the new tenants by scaring them with the help of Beetlejuice, a crude ghost that causes lots of trouble. The film was very popular and ever since its release there has been talk of a sequel.

No one is saying exactly what may have made Burton choose now to sign on, but fans are definitely excited at the prospect of the new film. Right now, there is no word about if any of the original stars would return.
