Game 2 of the World Series on Fox brought the network the win for Thursday, but The Big Bang Theory remained the most watched show of the night.
HitFix reports that most shows suffered slight drops due to competition from Game 2. Fox's only program of the night helped the network average 12.25 million viewers and a 3.2 in the key 18-49 demographic. The first half hour drew 11.39 million, but then it increased to 13.1 million after Big Bang ended.
CBS came in second averaging 10.29 million viewers and a demo of 2.7. The Big Bang Theory was the star of the night with 16.47 million viewers and a 4.9 in the demo. The Millers lost a significant portion of its lead-in audience but was at a 2.8 in the demo and 10.88 million viewers. The Crazy Ones remained strong with a 2.3 demo and 8.77 million viewers. Elementary improved from last week's poor numbers with 8.59 million viewers and a 1.8 in the demo.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC came in third, averaging 7.2 million viewers for the night and a 2.3 rating in the demo. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland dropped again to a 1.1 in the rating, while Grey's Anatomy bumped up slightly to a 2.8. Scandal slipped a few tenths of a point to a 3.0 in the demo.
NBC unsurprisingly was in fourth with its makeshift lineup. The Voice was an encore with a 1.3 rating and didn't help as a lead-in. The Michael J. Fox Show and Parenthood stayed steady from last week with a 1.2 and 1.3 rating, respectively. Sean Saves the World didn't increase in the demo at a 1.1, but did tick over 4 million viewers.
The CW's two shows slipped slightly and averaged 2.2 million viewers and a 0.9 in the demo. The Vampire Diaries was at a 1.1 and Reign was down to a 0.6 after its premiere last week.
