Twitter is taking a little Google with it as it hires Google’s advertising executive to be their head of retail.

J.J. Hirschle who directed media and entertainment at Goggle will be helping Twitter to sell products to retail companies according to Bloomberg.

This isn’t the first time Twitter has hired someone from Google, last year the social networking site hired Shailesh Rao, who led Google’s advertising in Asia.

In August of this year, Twitter hired Google’s former head of media and entertainment sales, Jennifer Prince to head their entertainment ad sales reported Mashable.

Whether Google feels some way about losing their valuable employees to Twitter Inc. is uncertain. Why Twitter is going after former Google employees is unknown also.

However, Twitter is branching out to become more than just a social networking site. The San-Francisco based company has increased its hiring and is looking into expanding its business.

Hirschle will begin working for Twitter on Oct. 28, 2013.

It will be interesting to see what Twitter becomes with these former Google executives on board.
