Cecilia Abadie received an additional ticket for wearing Google Glass after being pulled over for speeding in San Diego.
The police officer gave her the second ticket for driving "with a monitor," reports Reuters.
Abadie, who is testing a Glass prototype - or an Explorer, wrote on her Google Plus page, "A cop just stopped me and gave me a ticket for wearing Google Glass while driving!"
California Highway Patrol spokesperson Officer Marc Hale said he was unaware if anyone else had been pulled over and cited for wearing Google Glass.
According to CNN, California law states that drivers are prohibited from using anything that would allow them to watch TV while driving, except for GPS.
San Diego attorney Mitchell Mehdy said, "I think the law is broad enough to say it violates the law." Abadie says that her Glass was not on while when she was pulled over.
The Google Glass FAQ warns users about wearing the device while driving, stating that users should "Read up and follow the law!" But also notes that the device is useful for things like turn by turn navigation.
