Fury, David Ayer’s World War II drama starring Brad Pitt and Shia LaBeouf will be scored by Steven Price, the man behind the haunting score to Alfonso Cuaron’s Gravity.

Deadline reported today that the composer signed on today. “Steven Price’s fresh approach to scoring and his extraordinary creativity make him the perfect collaborator for my film,” Ayer told the site.

Price has had a breakout year in 2013, scoring both Gravity and Edgar Wright’s The World’s End. According to Indiewire, he composed his first score for 2011’s Attack of the Block, although he had worked as a music editor on Batman Begins, the last two Lord of the Rings movies and others.

Sony is releasing Fury on Nov. 12, 2014, according to today’s report, which is two days before the previous date. Deadline also notes that the film is currently untitled.

The production was in the news recently when producers didn’t stop filming on Remembrance Day in the U.K. Many were offended, since the film is set during World War II and the production filmed scenes with actors in Nazi uniforms. Pitt stars as the leader of a tank crew during the last days of the war. LaBeouf, Logan Lerman, Jon Bernthal and Michael Peña also star.

Ayer also directed Sabotage with Arnold Schwarzenegger, which hits theaters in April.
