Callan McAuliffe, who played the young Jay Gatsby in the recent remake of the classic book, The Great Gatsby, has just signed on to be in the upcoming indie film Hacker. McAuliffe will be playing the lead role in the film.
Hacker will focus on a computer genius, played by McAuliffe, who joins a secret network of computer-based criminals in an attempt to uncover the identity of a master hacker
Deadline.com reported that Lorraine Nicholson has also joined the cast. Nicholson has been in past films such as, Soul Surfer and Click. Nicholson will play a member of the secret organization that McAuliffe is trying to infiltrate.
Variety.com added that Hacker is set to star filming in November on location in Toronto and New York. Sanzhar Sultanov will be producing and Akan Satayev is set to direct the indie film.
McAuliffe is set to star along side Ben Kingsley and Gillian Anderson in the upcoming sci-fi film, Robot Overloard, which is set to hit theaters next year.
