Alec Baldwin has issued a threat, a threat that would result in him leaving show business forever.
Baldwin wrote a lengthy screed published on The Huffington Post.
Baldwin wrote that he would quit the television business, movie industry or any component of entertainment, if it would bring safety and peace to his family. Baldwin went on to say that he wanted to address the issue of MSNBC suspending his show.
Baldwin said that the show is a work in progress and featured some interesting guests but if the show dies, it becomes another statistic in the majority of start-up TV programming.
The 30 Rock star went on to say that his wife is a young mother with a newborn child and that it should be illegal for reporters to harass and hector her. Baldwin associated the harassment to a hockey brawl.
Fox News added that Baldwin went on to blame society’s fixation with celebrities as why people are feeling frustrated with government.
The rant concluded with Baldwin saying that if people have a opinion about him to express it to him, but to leave his family out of the spotlight.
