Genevieve Sabourin has been sentenced to prison for 30 days for contempt of court due to disrupting American actor Alec Baldwin as he gave evidence of her stalking him over the past two years.

Sabourin could face up to a year in prison if she is convicted of stalking the actor.

Baldwin claims that Sabourin has done things like leaving up to 30 voicemails a night, showing up at his private home, and harassing him in public.

The two met in 2000, when Baldwin had lunch with her and a mutual friend, reports BBC.

Since then, Sabourin claims that she and Baldwin had a sexual relationship and that he has deeply affected her in a negative matter. Baldwin denies all of this. He says that, besides the lunch meeting, he only had one other interaction with Sabourin in 2010 to give her some advice on her career.

Sabourin repeatedly interrupted the actor during his testimony, saying things like, “Your Honor, he’s lying,” and “my life is shattered in pieces,” according to CNN.

Sabourin was arrested last year for violating a court order which also involved Baldwin.
