Arcade Fire’s latest album, Reflektor has sold over 140,000 copies in its first week. These sales have landed the album at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts.

Reflektor features songs, “We Exist,” “Reflektor,” and “Here Comes The Night Time.” Reflektor keeps the style that Fire introduced on their first album but still moves the sound and overall feel in a more modern direction.

Billboard added that this is Arcade Fire’s second album at No. 1. The first chart topping album from Arcade Fire was The Suburbs.

The Suburbs slightly out sold Reflektor in its debut week, selling 156,000 copies.

Reflektor was released by Universal Music Group. This is the first major label debut for Arcade Fire. Their first album, The Suburbs was released through the indie area of Warner Music’s, Alternative Distribution Alliance.

The Huffington Post reported that last weeks number one album, Prism by Katy Perry falls to No. 2 this week, selling 92,000 copies.

Other artists debuted on the Billboard charts from Thomas Rhett, Toby Keith and Linkin Park debuted with their new album, Recharged at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 charts.
