Life can sometimes be a fairytale and sometimes not so much, but no matter what, it is surely much better with a little bit of glittering “faerie-rock.”

Composed of Kota Wade (vocals, piano), Tommy O. (guitar), Tim Falco (drums) and Alicia Vigil (bass), Bad Wolf brings together “sci-fi”, “fantasy”, “steampunk” and rock to create an absolutely unique and enchanting sound.

Kota Wade has explained in an interview for Ladies of Steampunk Magazine that: “The name Bad Wolf is actually a reference from the classic British sci-fi show, Doctor Who. “Bad Wolf ” refers to the main character, Rose, and her alter ego, in which she creates as a way to send a message to herself in order to save the world. It’s a very empowering moment in the show, and was always my favorite storyline because of the air of mystery it carries.”

The band has released their Once Upon… EP featuring their first single "A Better World (ft. Traci Hines)" and their most recent one, “Drowning Beautiful.”

“Drowning Beautiful” is an utterly stunning and enchanting track. It is an embodiment of “faerie-rock” in every sense, combining the dreamy, gentle and whimsical xylophone with potent, sharp and energetic guitars and drums, all topped off with Wade’s powerful and sumptuous vocals.

Oh, will they know how we fought so hard, for something so beautiful/Stand hand in hand, as the world around us, turns into something dull, Wade sings.

Overall, “Drowning Beautiful” is a razor sharp reality juxtaposed with dreamy and fairytale-like elements that make it so fresh, magical and highly addictive.
