Beyoncé never fails to wow us with her heartfelt songs, but this one might be the most inspirational of them all.
“God Made You Beautiful” is an ode to Beyoncé’s baby daughter, Blue Ivy. It is a simple ballad, yet incredibly beautiful and absolutely touching. The song is about her motherly love for her child and her gratefulness for being given the hardest yet most beautiful task—being a parent.
"What lucky me, you were brought into my life/I kissed those little feet and watch for your perfect smile. /And when it comes, the world stops in your eyes. /I found love, I found peace of the purest kind," Queen Bey sings.
According to Billboard, a snippet of “God Made You Beautiful” was featured in the trailer for HBO’s documentary Life Is But A Dream. The song will be available for download through the documentary, which will be released on DVD Nov. 25.
Beyoncé is also working on a new album, according to the Huffington Post, but little is known about it. We only know so far that Sia wrote a song for it, and that Pharell has said that it is almost done and “crazy.”
And while fans are impatiently waiting for the next album, at least they have this fully leaked, heavenly ballad to listen to.
