A Brooklyn man who was apparently angry that his bandmates kicked him out of their rock band shot three of them and wounded a fourth before he killed himself, the NYPD said.

According to sources for the New York Post, the shooting happened at a Bushwick apartment building where officials think some members of the band may have lived. The shooter carried a Century Sporter .308-caliber semi-automatic weapon and arrived around midnight. He wounded a person standing outside the building before entering.

He then began shooting, hitting two fatally on the first floor and then a third person on the third floor. The last victim was shot in the head. He also allegedly fired into a bathroom on the first floor, where a couple was hiding. They were not injured.

The killer went to the roof, where his body was found with a gunshot wound to the head, police confirmed. The rifle was found by his side.

According to The Associated Press, police arrived on the scene after they received a 911 call about gunshots in the building.

It is known that all members of the band were Iranian and had been living in the U.S. for awhile, seeking asylum. However, their names have been withheld until their families are notified.
