A copy of Bruce Springsteen's handwritten working manuscript for his song "Born to Run" will be sold at an auction on December 5.

According to the Associated Press, the manuscript will start the bidding at around $70,000 to $100,000.

While the 1974 manuscript, written in Long Branch, N.J., contains a chorus that is almost exactly the same as the 1975 version of the song, most of the featured lyrics are unpublished and unrecorded.

"The imagery and tone are constant from the present manuscript to the final song," reported the auctioneer. The auction house, Sotheby's, did not reveal a seller, but they said that Mike Appel, Springsteen's former manager, once had the document in his possession.

"Although Springsteen is known to have an intensive drafting process, few manuscripts of' Born to Run are available, with the present example being one of only two identified that include the most famous lines in the song," Sotheby's said.

The manuscript will be auctioned off with several other books and manuscripts in a Manhattan sale.

CBS News reports that Springsteen announced Monday that his 18th studio album will be released on Jan. 14.
