Charlie Manson, the notorious murderer who is spending the rest of his life in prison, is about to marry a 25-year-old woman named Star, according to a new profile on the 79-year-old.

Rolling Stone caught up with Manson at the Corcoran State Prison in California. The feature starts by recounting a time Manson receives a visitor - a young, slender woman he calls “Star” because “She's a star in the Milky Way,” he says.

Manson welcomes her with open arms. The woman is from a Mississippi River town, was raised a Baptist and has a sense of humor. She’s also a big defender of Manson and was only attracted to him because of his pro-environmental stance. She has been living in Corcoran since she was 19 and visits him every weekend.

“Yeah, well, people can think I'm crazy,” she said. “But they don't know. This is what's right for me. This is what I was born for.”

One of the pro-Manson sites she runs is MasonDirect, which has several photos that show Manson today and with Star.

Whenever she visits Manson, they share a kiss - just a peck - and a hug before sitting across the table. Manson had cut an “X” into his forehead during his trial and Star did the same, although Manson’s now looks like a swastika.

As Extra notes, Manson was convicted for several murders in 1969, including the murder of actress Sharon Tate, who was married to Roman Polanski and pregnant at the time. Sounds like a great catch for Star.
