Chris Hemsworth is set to star in the upcoming, Heart of the Sea which will be directed by Ron Howard. The new film has received an official release date and will receiving a wide release on March 13, 2015.
This film marks another combination from Oscar-nominated screenwriter, Peter Morgan and Howard. The duo worked together on Frost/Nixion and Rush.
Heart of the Sea is based upon the Nathaniel Phillbrick novel. The story will detail a ship that is preyed upon by a sperm whale. The attack strands the crew at seas for over 90 days, many miles from salivation.
The film is being produced by Village Roadshow and is set to be released by Warner Bros. Studios, reported Deadline. Currently no other films have claimed that release date.
Variety reported that Seas stars Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Ben Whishaw, Tom Holland and Jordi Molla.
2015 is crowed with a variety of Warner Bros. films that include; Mad Max: Fury Road and the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman.
