San Francisco’s very own “Batkid,” Miles Scott, is getting praise from actors Ben Affleck and Christian Bale, who have played or will play Batman on the silver screen.
Thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Miles was able to make his dream come true of becoming the fictional character for a day in a mock Gotham City. Miles, 5, who is now in remission, has had cancer since he was 18 months old.
Bale told New York Mag of the touching story, "He must have been bewildered. Hopefully, later on, he'll be able to look back and say, 'Oh my God, how amazing...' How great a thing that (they) can create something like that! I mean, wonderful.”
He added, “This little kid, oh my God - what a wonderful day for the little fella (fellow)! It's just fantastic, seeing all those people who were out there to support it." He also called it “so touching.”
Affleck, who will play Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, tweeted, “Batkid. Best Batman ever. #SFBatKid #MakeAWish @SFWish.”
