Costco has issued a formal apology after a Simi Valley, Calif. pastor tweeted a picture of a Bible labeled as “fiction.” He didn’t agree.
Caleb Kaltenbach, the pastor at Discovery Church, told KTLA-TV that he spotted the Bible while shopping for a gift for his wife on Friday. He tweeted a picture of it to his followers with the caption, “Costco has Bibles for sale under the genre of FICTION Hmmmm......”

Costco finally issued an apology on Wednesday, saying that their distributor made a mistake, but they take full responsibility. The Bibles that still have the mistake will be relabeled.
“Costco’s distributor mislabeled a small percentage of the Bibles, however we take responsibility and should have caught the mistake. We are correcting this with them for future distribution,” the statement reads. “In addition, we are immediately relabeling all mislabeled Bibles. We greatly apologize for this error.”
Of course, Kaltenbach has gained some notoriety for his discovery and appeared on Fox News’ Fox and Friends, notes The Wall Street Journal. He accepted the retail giant’s apology, but he said that Christians should continue to be vocal about their religion.
“...I think that Christians in America do need to stand up for our faith. We’re not persecuted like our brothers and sisters in the Middle Eastern countries or North Korea or other places, but we do need to be vocal about our faith,” he said on the show. “And I do believe it shows how polarizing the Bible and Jesus are.”
Thanks @foxandfriends & @ehasselbeck for the great time this morning...and more importantly highlighting God's Word
