Pixar has been having trouble with their upcoming film, Good Dinosaur. The direction Bob Peterson exited the Good Dinosaur in August. This resulted in now up to 60 employees at Pixar being let go.

The layoffs account for approximately 5% of Pixar’s 1,200 work force, Deadline reported.

No replacement direction has been announced yet and the release date for the film has been moved back from May 30, 2014 to November 24, 2015. This change in release dates means that Pixar will not have a movie coming out in 2014, The LA Times added.

Last Friday, a Disney spokesperson released a statement regarding the film. “At Pixar, we are constantly re-evaluating the creative and business needs of our studio. With the release date change of The Good Dinosaur, we have realigned our production and support priorities, which includes a small reduction in our staffing levels,” explained the representative from Disney.

The film is set to focus on if the asteroid that destroyed the dinosaurs never hit earth, leaving dinosaurs and humans to live and interact together.

Last month nearly 100 employees lost their jobs at Pixar Canada, the Vancouver animation studio.
