Disney has picked a release date for Alice in Wonderland 2, the sequel is set to be released on May 27, 2016. The original Alice in Wonderland made over $1.025 billion at the worldwide box office.

James Bobin, known for his work on The Muppets, will be taking over the directing role from Tim Burton, Deadline reported. Both Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska will be returning to reprise their roles.

Disney moved Pirates of the Caribbean 5 back to 2016, the film was originally set to be released in 2015. This made room for Alice in Wonderland 2.

The follow up to the Jungle Book has also received a release date from Disney. The film is set to open on October 9, 2015. Jon Favreau is set to direct the live-action feature, Entertainment Weekly reported. Justin Marks will be adapting the script.

The Jungle Book sequel is the only Disney film that is set to be released in Oct. 2015.

Disney created the beloved 1967 animated feature The Jungle Book and the live-action feature in 1994.
