Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is one of the busiest actors in Hollywood, staring in the upcoming Hercules film and Fast 7 but now Johnson has one more film to add to that list. Johnson is now attached to star in MGM’s Seal Team 666.
Seal Team 666 will be based off of the book by Weston Ochse.
Variety reported that the film will focus on a group of Navy Seals who will have to battle demons and supernatural forces that only have one desire, to destroy the world.
The Hollywood Reporter added that Johnson will be an executive producer on the film along with Dany Garcia, Brendan Deneen and Peter Jospeh.
The film will be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, Spiliotopoulos is known for his work on many animated films and the TV movie, The Outsiders.
Johnson is already still working TV front with his TNT reality show “The Hero” which is wrapping up its first season. Johnson also recently wrapped an HBO pilot, which is set to focus on athletes in Miami, that Mark Wahlberg is producing.
No director is attached to the project and no word on when the film will go into production.
