Florida Georgia Line became the breakout artists of 2013. The country duo topped the country and the top 40 charts with their summer anthem, “Cruise.” Florida Georgia Line has accomplished a lot this year. Starting with the release of Here’s To The Good Times, the band then found themselves being an opening act on Taylor Swift’s Red tour. They have also shared the stage with some of the biggest names in country music. All of this, while selling out a variety of venues on their own.
To celebrate this success and give back to fans, the band decided to re-release Here’s To The Good Times. The new album features five new tracks and a remix of “Cruise” that features Nelly. Each single that has been released on the deluxe edition of the album could be a top charting single on the radio today. Country and music fans in general have fallen in love with Florida Georgia Line’s unique sound, harmonizing vocals and blazing rock/country style.
Stand out tracks on the re-release include “This is How We Roll,” which features Luke Bryan and “People Back Home.” “This is How We Roll” is a classic song from the country duo. It features heavy guitars, catchy lyrics and Bryan’s vocal additional on the track and harmonizing takes the single above and beyond.
If this is the type of music that the band is working into their next album, supporters will not be disappointed.
“People Back Home” stands out for its heartfelt lyrics and passion. The band thanks fans that are back in their hometowns that have supported the band from the very beginning. The lyrics explain, “You can do it, if you chose it, so we dream big and we work hard. Now we got the whole world cruising.”
Florida Georgia Line has found a sound that works for them and isn’t afraid to stick with what works. Their music recharged the entire country music industry and has launched them into uncharted musical fame.
2013 was the year for Florida Georgia Line and it would seem that the country duo would be able to cruise right on into 2014 with just as much success and a whole lot of devoted fans.
