Are you looking for the perfect music for the upcoming holidays? Are you trying to find a heartwarming Christmas soundtrack to play as you gather with your loved ones around the tree? Look no further! FUE’s Winter’s Eve is exactly what you are looking for.

FUE is an alternative rock band from the Chicago area consisting of Joanna Rutzky (vocals/keyboards), Aaron May (drums), Tim May (guitar) and Isaac Flex (bass). According to the bio on the band’s official website, their name comes from Matthew 9:37, in which Jesus tells of the great multitudes who are waiting to hear the good news. “We want to be among those counted worthy to help bring in the harvest that is ripe and waiting.”

The Winter’s Eve EP features six tracks. Some are original while others are old, and quite familiar popular tunes. Among them are “Christmas Time Is Here,” specifically written for A Charlie Brown Christmas and “Carol of the Bells,” composed by Mykola Leontovych, with lyrics by Peter J. Wilhousky.

The tracks featured on the EP carry that old familiar Christmas feel to them with a modern twist. We have the quite jingly and upbeat “Merry Memories,” very alternative rock “Winter Wonderland” with its dominant drums and piano, a very jazzy, saxophone-dominated title track “Winter’s Eve” and the dreamy, piano-driven “Whiter Than Snow.” All are supported by Rutzky’s tender, sentimental vocals.

Overall, Winter’s Eve is a perfect Christmas present, packed with joy, holiday spirit and dreams of a snowy winter night. It is heaven to the ears, warmth to the heart and food to the soul.
