Miley Cyrus has teamed up with R&B star Future and Mr. Hudson for their latest track, “Real and True.” The video for “Real and True” features Hudson, Future and Cyrus on another planet in what appears to be the future.
Cyrus is seen rocking a very futuristic style, with crystals and glitter covering her body and face. For Cyrus, this is a more covered up look than normal.
Vocally, Cyrus keeps the chorus and hook simple. Shock and awe tactics aside; Cyrus is a very good vocalist. The song itself is very catchy and has a sexy vibe from start to finish. Future has a smooth delivery with his lyrics and spins some musical mazes with his lyrics that keep fans interested. Mr. Hudson balances out the vocals from Cyrus and compliments Future's style of vocal delivery.
Cyrus has been pushing her image and sound out of the pop music arena, moving towards R&B influences. "Real and True" is just another example of how Cyrus is a totally new artist and her Disney days are behind her.
The music video was released last night and is already close to one million views on YouTube, most likely because of the Cyrus name attached to it. It appears that whenever Cyrus puts her name on something, it becomes an instant hit just due to the shock factor of what she will do next.
