Jesse J, a British pop singer that has started to make a name for herself in the United States recently, helped to switch on the Christmas lights in the lighting ceremony on Oxford Street in London. The newly blonde Jesse J was not the only celebrity that turned out for the yearly event.
According to The London Evening Standard, the event was absolutely huge. There were thousands in attendance. Some people that attended the event noted that they had to wait nearly a half an hour in order to just enter the Oxford Circus tube station. Oxford Street was closed all the way from Oxford Circus to Portman Street. Jesse J and several other singer performed on the top of the Selfridge department store, The Daily Mail reports. James Arthur, Conor Maynard, and the Wanted were just a few of the other celebrities that appeared at the show.
Also, Somerset House ice rink opened at the same time as the lighting ceremony, which also drew some large crowds in the area.
