Jon Favreau may have been off the high-budget directing horse for a little while now, but now he is in talks to direct the new, live-action version on The Jungle Book.
According to The Hollywood Reporter , Favreau, probably best known for directing such films as Elf and the Iron Man franchise, has reportedly been in talks with Disney in order to direct the film. The script has not been written yet, but there is a screenwriter, Justin Marks, involved. The Jungle Book film would, of course, be based on the stories of the same name that were written by Rudyard Kipling in 1894. As of right now, there are no producers attached to the project, so there is really no way of knowing anything about a possible start date for the production.
Favreau is not just a director. He is also an actor that also appeared in several films. He often takes same parts in the movies that he directs.
