Relief efforts are underway after last week's devastating typhoon hit the Philippines, and the rock 'n' roll community is pitching in to help.

The Associated Press reports that the legendary band Journey has made a $350,000 donation to the Philippines for typhoon relief. The group’s current lead singer, Arnel Pineda, hails from Manila. Pineda has been touring with Journey for the past six years.

According to Rolling Stone, Journey is encouraging fans to help in disaster relief as well.

The band announced their donation on Friday. Pineda and the other members said that the donation would go to the United Nations World Food Programme, which is providing food assistance. The is expected to provide about 1.4 million meals.

The donation was made along with Live Nation Entertainment, Creative Artists Agency and the bands manger, John Baruck.

Typhoon Haiyan left more than 3,600 people dead and displaced roughly 600,000 individuals. 400,000 citizens are currently sheltering in evacuation centers.

Pineda made a statement saying that help is on the way, and to not stop believing.
