Kanye West’s Yeezus tour did not get off to a smooth start late last month and the rapper was forced to postpone dates because of issues with his elaborate equipment. Now, he’s ready to get moving again, as his reps have confirmed that he will get back on stage in Philadelphia next week.
The Yeezus tour will resume on Saturday, Nov. 16 in Philadelphia, the Los Angeles Times reports. While the tour will be able to resume, :routing logistics” have forced him to cancel dates in Vancouver; Denver; Columbus, Ohio; Montreal; Minneapolis; and St. Louis.
Dates in Chicago, Detroit and Toronto were rescheduled for December and the tour will now finish on Dec. 23 with the Toronto date.
The tour appeared to getting off to a good start in Seattle on Oct. 19, but hours after that show, the Vancouver date was postponed. Then, on Oct. 30, West had to reschedule his Nov. 1 show at Anaheim’s Honda Center for Dec. 13. The reason given was “production logistics.”
Things got worse when West had to hold off the tour when a 60-foot LED screen and other gear was damaged “beyond repair.”
You can check out the full Yeezus tour itinerary at West’s website. Kendrick Lamar is slated to open for West.
