Katy Perry’s “universal love song” now has a video to follow. The songstress has released a video preview for “Unconditionally,” a track featured on her fourth studio album Prism and it is absolutely stunning.
First thing that we get from the slow motion preview is that it is situated at a ball. The soldiers and their partners are dancing, while the snowflakes cover the floor and slowly fall around the dancers carried away with love. What we can also notice is that this short snippet shows different kinds of love; such as romantic and motherly love. Then the it rapidly transitions from scene to scene, making it hard for the eye to make out what is actually happening. What I have managed to see is Katy lying on a snow and flower-covered car, then her standing surrounded by the dancers at the ball, her covering her eyes and a burning bed with people watching it, while it is being engulfed by flames. Finally, we see Katy in her luxurious, royal, Christian-chic outfit singing, “Unconditional, unconditionally/I will love you unconditionally.” The video is definitely going to have that Anna Karenina feel to it. Oh, and there's owls too.
Katy has tweeted the time and date of the video release.
