Kmart is leading the pack for the 2013 holiday season television commercials. The retail store released its new ad for the season and it has already gone viral, as is the main goal with every ad today, it seems. In the ad, male models get to play “Jingle Bells” with their... uh.. balls.
The commercial has already racked up over 400,000 views on YouTube. It was done as a cross-promotion deal with Joe Boxer, so every model is showing off the many designs available. It starts off with the men behind a table, using bells, before the table slides away. That reveals that the men are not wearing pants - just boxers. Then, they begin to move their hips to the classic Christmas song.
According to AdWeek, the commercial was produced by Chicago-based ad agency Draftfcb. The company has also created other interesting ads for Kmart this year, including “Ship My Pants” and “Boardroom.”
