As Lady Antebellum sings on “And The Radio Played,” the band has been country before country was cool. The group has topped the charts, sold out arenas and has always stayed true to the formula that has made them successful. Lady Antebellum has memorizing harmonies, honest lyrics and amazing on and off stage chemistry.
Lady Antebellum has released the deluxe version of their chart topping album, Golden. The new album features additional singles and acoustic versions of popular Lady Antebellum songs.
New singles off of Golden are, “Compass,” “And The Radio Played” and “Life As We Know It.” The new release also includes acoustic versions of “Need You Now,” “Just a Kiss” and “I Run To You.” The acoustic versions of both “Need You Now” and “I Run To You,” show off the fact that Lady Antebellum has true musicianship and harmonies that no one else in the industry can pull off.
“Compass,” which is already a hit for Lady Antebellum is a powerful anthem that stands out amongst the other tracks on the album. “Compass” could have been released as the first single off of Golden and would have set the tone for the album. These additional songs don’t feel like bonus tracks, these tracks seamlessly fit into Golden.
“And The Radio Played” sounds similar to “Goodbye Town” but still has that honest feel that Lady Antebellum is known for. The band talks about what growing up back in the day was like and how country music has become cool, when back in the day to the band playing country music just seemed normal.
Along with “Compass,” “Life As We Know It,” is soon to become a Lady Antebellum hit. “Life As We Know It,” is simple and connects with fans. The song focuses on going through the harder times in life. The lyrics are astonishing simple yet brilliant. The vocal performance from Lady Antebellum is dazzling.
None of the songs off of Golden are over produced, the music speaks for itself. The true talent of Lady Antebellum can be felt and heard during the entire album.
Lady Antebellum postponed their upcoming, “Take Me Downtown” tour in order to have fans hear the new singles and experience the deluxe album and now after hearing the album, fans will be happy to wait a few months before hearing what is most likely going to be an unforgettable concert.
