Mariah Carey has released a follow-up to her collaboration with Miguel, “#Beautiful.” She unveiled her new single “The Art of Letting Go” on Monday via Facebook.
"This is such a personal record to me. I wrote the lyrics so that anyone and everyone could relate to them and hopefully release anything that they need to let go of that's holding them back or bringing them down,” she wrote.
“The Art of Letting Go” was produced by Rodney Jerkins. The veteran singer has been working with famed producer Jermaine Dupri on this new album as well.
An injury she sustained on the set of her music video for a remix of “Beautiful” set her back, but she told fans last month that she would be revealing her latest single on Facebook.
She took to Twitter to let fans know recovering from her injury “hasn’t been easy,” but “I can finally say that I am on my way to a full recovery.”
