The 2,511th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame goes to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Mariska Hargitay.

According to E! News, Hargitay's star was placed directly next to her mother, actress Jayne Mansfield's star on the Walk of Fame Friday.

Dick Wolf, the creator of Law & Order: SVU, was there to support Hargitay, who has played the role of Det. Olivia Benson for 14 years. "I love you, you've done an incredible job. You are one of the icons of television, and certainly, I think the female icon for millions of women not only here, but all around the world,” he said at the ceremony.

Oscar-winning actress Hillary Swank also had kind words of support for Hargitay, commenting on how her personality and acting is spectacular.

The Huffington Post reports that Blair Underwood, Debra Messing and Maria Bello were also in attendance.

In return, Hargitay had a few words for those there to support her on her big day. "I am so moved by you and so grateful to all of you and you're what, as I said, makes today possible," she said.
