Since The Voice aired back in 2011, the show has been producing musical superstars. From Cassadee Pope to Jermaine Paul, the show has proved that even after the votes are counted, the talent on The Voice can translate into the mainstream music industry. The show has also proved that you don’t need to win the title of “The Voice” to become successful. Artists like Vicci Martinez and Michelle Chamuel have made their mark on the industry without winning.

Jamar Rogers is the latest Voice contestant to be making his mark on the music industry following his season two run on the NBC vocal competition. Rogers has released the music video for his latest single “Drink of You.”

The song has an old school musical vibe but combines Rogers’ impressive vocal style with instruments that compliment that style, instead of overpowering the original smooth feel of the song.

Following the show, Rogers was signed to Tommy Boy Records and now Rogers is re-launching himself into the music industry with “Drink of You.” The video for “Drink of You,” is sexy, contemporary and sophisticated. Rogers clearly has a powerful voice, which he showed during The Voice competition but “Drink of You,” showcases a more aggressive side to Rogers vocals.

The music video even has a connection to The Voice. Rogers’ love interest in the music video is Cee Lo Green’s makeup artist. Rogers was a member of Team Cee Lo during his time on the show.
