Paramore released their video for their fourth single “Daydreaming” off their self-titled album, which has gone Gold in four countries since its release in April.
The video landed this morning exclusively on MSN UK and label Fueled By Ramen’s YouTube channel. Bike-riding through the streets of a small town we find a Paramore super-fan going to her girlfriends house, getting ready for their trip to England to catch Paramore at the historic Wembley Arena. The video follows the two friends, cutting in and out of live footage from Paramore’s actual two-night stint at Wembley performing the power ballad. The girls waking up early, go out-and-about London, finally sneaking in backstage to receive a quick wave from lead singer Hayley Williams, then making their way to the front of the stage after being chased by a security guard.
The song itself, starting out with heavy guitars, quickly dissipates to a single guitar line with Williams signature vocals. “Hanging on a wall of a schoolhouse somewhere/We wait for the bell/And we dream of somewhere else” Williams sings giving the song a tender feel until the chorus where her clean vocals are amplified by a mounting drum beat and guitars.
Paramore’s “Self-Titled Tour” runs through America until December 4 before heading down to Australia for the beginning of the year. Their inaugural “Parahoy!” cruise is set to sail from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay on March 7th-11th, 2014.
