Rachel McAdams is a beauty on screen and off. Over the past decade, the Canadian actress has stolen our hearts in movies like The Notebook and The Time Travelers Wife and made us laugh until we cried in chick flicks like The Hot Chick and (of course) Mean Girls. Outside of her movies, McAdams has stunned us time and time again on the red carpet. In honor of her 35th birthday, we're counting down her Top Ten Red Carpet Looks.
10. We’ll start the countdown with this spectacular chiffon creation by Elie Saab. McAdams wore this watercolor gown to the 82nd Annual Academy Awards. Many fashion critics called her one of the “Best Dressed” of the night.

9. Rachel wore this futuristic pale lilac gown by Roksanda Ilincic to the London premier of About Time at the Somerset House. The dress features a holographic belt as well as blue and turquoise detailing on the back, a daring choice that happened to work out great. McAdams was smart to skip jewelry and let her gown be the statement.

8. McAdams wore this little black Saint Laurent by Hedi Slimane number to a screening in Germany of her new movie About Time. Paired with Saint Laurent mary-jane pumps and a cuff by Hermes, the entire outfit was divine. She wore it better than Miley Cyrus hands down.

7. For the Berlin premier of her 2011 movie Morning Glory in which she starred opposite Harrison Ford, McAdams donned a crimson gown designed by Michael Kors. Simple earrings and a pretty updo gave the look an almost vintage Hollywood style.

6. At the 35th Deauville American Film Festival in France, McAdams wore this lovely little black dress from Stella McCartney’s 2009 Resort Collection. The black lace and scalloped neckline complimented her complexion and face shape.

5. So I know this isn’t exactly a red carpet look, but this just has to go in the countdown. Not many people can pull off pink hair, but Rachel is apparently one of those few who can. In an interview with Glamour, McAdams said she’d always wanted to try pink hair! Her wish came true when she did this editorial for Elle in April 2007.

4. This pairing of a fitted white Vivian Westwood dress and nude pointy Christian Louboutin shoes looked incredible on McAdams at the Los Angeles premiere of The Vow in 2012. Rachel’s body looks so good here, she might’ve even drawn some looks away from charming costar Channing Tatum.

3. McAdams looked amazing in this beautiful slate grey Grecian style gown from the Andrew GN Spring 2010 collection to the Sherlock Holmes world premier at the Empire Leicester Square in London. The embellishment on the dress’ bustier gave the outfit a perfect amount of sparkle. Rachel’s braided updo and wine colored lipstick finished the look flawlessly.

2. McAdams wore this stunning Marchesa dress to the premiere of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows in 2011. She was cunning and coy as Irene Adler in the movie, but Rachel looked simply darling in this sparkling silver gown.

1. Of all her gorgeous red carpet looks, this one takes the cake. McAdams chose this Marchesa masterpiece to the premiere of Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. The red and semi sheer nude gown was a perfect choice, daring and elegant at the same time. Rachel’s blonde, softly curled hairstyle complimented the dress beautifully.
