Ridley has signed on to direct a movie about the effects of concussions of football players.

The movie latches on to the recent topic that the National Football League has been struggling with, Variety reports. Giannina Facio and Scott will produce.

The drama will take a look at football players and the long term effects concussions have on them, something that has begun coming out more and more in the NFL as more is learned about the long-term effects of concussions.

According to Deadline, who first reported the news, notes that Scott and Facio have been meeting with writers and is looking to focus the movie on the morality of the current issue.

Scott hopes to direct this movie once he is done filming Exodus with Joel Edgerton and Christian Bale.

Concussions have become a huge issue the past few years as the NFL continues to bring in tremendous amounts of cash at the expense of players' future. Former Chicago Bears quarterback Jim McMahon suffers from memory loss from concussions.

Others are beginning to develop signs of CTE, or chronic traumatic encephalopathy, like Hall of Famers Tony Dorsett and Jo DeLamielleure, ESPN reports.
