Keith Moon was one of rock n’ roll’s wildmen, writing the script on how to trash a hotel room, and just how far you can push the envelope in any given situation. A drug overdose took his life in 1978 and a biopic is now in production with a little help from The Who bandmate Roger Daltrey.
Rolling Stone reports Daltrey has been collaborating with the CEO of Da Vinci Media Adventures, the production company handling the yet untitled film about the iconic drummer.

According to the The Hollywood Reporter Daltrey said in a statement, "The Keith Moon project is one close to my heart so I am excited to reinvigorate it and grateful to Wendy, Toby and Da Vinci for their enthusiastic support.”

Keith Moon’s playing style was extrodinary, and has influenced countless musicians with his ability and songwriting. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Roger Daltrey explained that after Moon joined The Who their music completely changed and their chemistry changed immediately.

In the same interview, Daltrey stated The Who are set to embark on a tour in 2015 and will most likely be their last large tour. "The touring is incredibly grinding on the body and we have to draw a line in the sand somewhere. This will be the last old-fashioned, big tour."
