Selena Gomez will have to work before she enjoys Thanksgiving dinner. Gomez is set to perform during the halftime show at the Dallas Cowboys’ game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. This performance will kick off The Salvation Army’s 123rd Red Kettle Campaign.

The Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign is a holiday drive to provide food, shelter and toys for families in need.

Gomez announced the news on Twitter The Chicago Tribune reported. Gomez tweeted that it feels good to be in her home state of Texas and hopes she can make Texas proud. Gomez is originally from Grand Prairie, Texas.

Gomez also celebrated the news on Instagram posting this image, reported E! Online.

Gomez is enjoying the success off of her recent album, Stars Dance. Gomez is also currently on tour supporting her latest record.

Previous performers of the halftime show include, Kelly Clarkson, the Jonas Brothers and Destiny’s Child.
