Sesame Street has parodied the upcoming film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire with Cookie Monster in The Hungry Games: Catching Fur.
Now The Hungry Games isn't a violent event, Vulture reports, as muppets aren't competing to kill each other. Instead the parody version involves solving patterns and eating food, though they have to figure out which foods they can eat or are needed to get past obstacles.
This parody of a popular franchise has Cookie Monster sporting a wig as he plays Cookieness Evereat, according to Variety. As Sesame Street's parodies have a fondness for puns, Peeta is unsurprisingly portrayed by a talking pita.
One part of the trailer shows Cookieness and her group running into a group a monkeys, though they look a lot less frightening than the baboons from the Catching Fire trailer. The group have to figure out which nearby food items will allow them to move past the monkeys.
Previously Sesame Street took on the more adult Homeland with parody Homelamb, which was hilariously spot on and involved sheep and a wolf in sheep's clothing.
