If you are visiting New York there is really no better place to stay than at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel.

The Sheraton has been a city staple since 1962 and has played home for everyone from The Beatles to President Barack Obama.

The old saying "Location! Location! Location!" is true and applies perfectly here. The Sheraton is located in the heart of New York's most sought-after destination and is within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, and Central Park.

Location aside, the Sheraton will make your New York stay comfortable and memorable. The beautifully decorated lobby is the perfect welcome to The Big Apple, and the service at the bell desk is truly extraordinary.

The rooms felt small but they were well-equipped with amenities like luxurious sundries, comfortable clean linens and pillows, and Starbucks coffee with which to start your day.

We stayed in a Club Lounge Level Room, which was $50 more per day than a regular room but the extra cost was totally worth it. The Club Lounge came with a well stocked continental breakfast starring some awesome New York bagels, and complimentary soft drinks, water, coffee and tea as well as complimentary appetizers in the early evening. From the lounge you can look out at Times Square and Central Park while you enjoy free high-speed Internet access.

The Club Lounge is just part of an extensive $180 million renovation that also included a state-of-the-art fitness center and new room designs.

Part of the Sheraton New York Times Square's new look is a fantastic little "Fireplace Nook," a secret little hideaway just off the lobby that offers plush couches, cocktails and a little bite to eat. There you can also find a large flat-screen TV where you can catch the headlines or sporting events before going to see a Broadway show.

The Sheraton New York Times Square is located at 811 7th Ave at 52nd Street.
