Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, which saw plenty of problems when it first started, is moving from Broadway to the Las Vegas stage starting in January, a spokesman for the show confirmed.

Rick Miramontez said, "We are excited to report that the next destination for SPIDER-MAN will be the entertainment capital of the world: Las Vegas.”

The Broadway show, the most expensive to make to date, was plagued with problems in 2010. Actors Natalie Mendoza and Christopher Tierney were injured due to the dangerous stunts and failure to secure safety features.

Tierney suffered a nearly 30-foot fall and Mendoza suffered a concussion after being hit backstage with a piece of equipment. Another actor broke both of his wrists during rehearsal.

Reuters notes that in 2011, director Julie Taymor was fired from the production and she subsequently sued the show.

It’s found its footing on Broadway since then, raking in $1 million a week. The show has music by Bono and The Edge and it cost over $70 million to make.
