Thomas Jane and Kate Bosworth are going to star in the horror film Somnia.
Production is set to start Nov. 11, Variety reports. Mike Flanagan was hired to direct the movie at the Toronto Film Festival. Flanagan, along with Jeff Howard, penned the script.
Mali Elfman and D. Scott Lumpkin will executive produce Somnia. Intrepid's Trevor Macy, William D. Johnson and Demarest Films are going to produce. MICA Entertainment and Demarest Films are co-financing.
Sierra/Affinity is currently looking for foreign buyers at the American Film Market after Focus Features International closed down.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie is about an orphaned boy, played by Jacob Tremblay, whose dreams and nightmares come to life while he is asleep. Bosworth and Jane will play his parents.
Macy said, "Somnia is a natural follow up to Oculus for Mike. We are thrilled that Kate and Thomas have joined us for Somnia, and look forward to Sierra presenting both titles at the AFM."
Oculus is Flanagan's last film that was also going to be distributed by Focus Films International, but Sierra/Affinity also stepped in.
